The Irish Draught Horse Society (IDHS) Limited was formed in 1976. The IDHS was created with the sole intention of preventing the breed from becoming extinct. Dedicated enthusiasts of the breed saved it from its almost certain demise. Today, we celebrate the growing popularity of the breed as well as its success in the performance arena. There are Branches of the society in every corner of Ireland, and affiliated groups in Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, the U.S.A. and Canada.

The Irish Draught Horse Society was established in 1993, and is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Irish Draught Horse and the promotion and awareness of it's successful crossbred, the Irish Draught Sport Horse.

The Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada was founded in 2002 to celebrate and support the enjoyment of purebred Irish Draught horses and partbred Irish Draught Sport Horses in Canada.

The Illinois Haflinger Association, a non-profit organization, was formed to promote the Haflinger horse through shows, demonstrations, sales, social activities, and other events. The association was formed on Dec. 15, 1990 in Arthur, Illinois with 29 family members. Since that time, the membership has now grown to more than 100 families from Illinois and the surrounding states.

The Gypsy Vanner Horse Society's mission is to bring honor, recognition, and a better understanding to one of the world's most colorful and least understood societies and the horses they love so dearly. This registry was established to protect a vision that was born over half a century ago to create the perfect horse to pull their colorful caravans.

A group of Michigan Haflinger owners met informally in September of 1985 at the home of Bob & Bea Wallace, with the idea of investigating the formation of a Michigan-area Haflinger association. Its sole purpose would be to promote the special and lovable Haflinger breed.

Founded in 1978, the Community Alliance with Family Farmers is a nonprofit member-activist organization. CAFF political and educational campaigns are building a movement of rural and urban people who foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies, and promotes social justice. Members are urbanites, farmers, environmentalists, rural activists, students, and anyone concerned with the social and environmental dimensions of agriculture.
