Resource Pages
Our Resource Pages are where you can locate various resources related to a particular topic. We include things like a list of papers we've published, related forum discussions, seed, tool, equipment and other suppliers as well as a selection of books on the topic.
Here's a list of the current Resource Pages we've published:
Season Extension [15]
Our season extension resource pages provide you access to resources on extending your growing and harvest season. These pages typically include links to vendors of completed units and kits, books and vendors of equipment and supplies.
Vegetables [16]
Growing your own vegetables is the passion of many a gardener and one of the easiest ways to get fresh vegetables into your diet. Each of our vegetable pages provides you with a listing of papers, links, seed sources, books and even tools on each of the different vegetables.
The Library
Our Library is home to our in-depth how-to articles. This is where we could really use the community's help to build up a base of working knowledge of information, skills, and resources before they dissapear. Our current Library includes:
Growing Vegetables [17]
The growing vegetables papers are designed to provide a good working knowledge of how to grow the different vegetables listed.
Draft Horses [18]
Our section on draft horses provides an introduction to the different breeds of horses used as draft horses. Not all of the breeds are used as draft horses now. Some, like the Morgan Horse are used primarily for sport and show.
In The Kitchen [19]
In The Kitchen is where we focus on the skills and resources that help complete the food chain - food preparation and serving. In other words, In The Kitchen brings you recipes, tips on selecting food, lessons on how to cook, food & wine pairing as well as the fine art of entertaining. After all the hard work that goes into raising the food we eat, it would be a shame not to celebrate the many ways in which we prepare, serve and enjoy food.
Mind Your Own Business [20]
There are many facets of running an ag related business. One of the often overlooked areas is running it as a business. In Mind Your Own Business we look at the actual day to day situations, skills, and problems of running an ag related business.
Perennials [21]
The perennials section of the library is dedicated to providing you the basic knowledge you need to select and grow the different perennials we list. There are many perennials and we're always looking for contributions to the collection of papers on perennials.
Season Extension [22]
Season extension is dedicated to the many ways we try to extend the growing season. Up here in the north eastern United States, we have a relatively short growing season and using row covers, cold frames, and greenhouses can help extend the growing season by several weeks!
