The Hobby Greenhouse Association is a nation-wide non-profit organization of people who enjoy growing ornamental and edible plants year-round through the use of various structures designed to provide the necessary or optimal environmental conditions for successful plant growth. We refer to them as Hobby Greenhouses. Whether from commercially manufactured sources, or self designed and constructed, Hobby Greenhouses provide year-round enjoyment for those who love growing a wide variety of plants. This requires knowledge and skills regarding their design, construction, operations, maintenance, and use. The Hobby Greenhouse Association has been a source for sharing knowledge and experiences among fellow greenhousing enthusiasts since 1976.

Garden State Heirloom Seed Society is a membership organization of gardeners, farmers and avocational historians. While the gardeners reap the benefit of eating vegetables and herbs with a superior taste, the farmers have the advantage of being able to offer these same vegetables and herbs to their customers. GSHSS works with living history farms, historical sites, and museums to provide them with seeds appropriate for the era they portray. GSHSS, through this website, will endeavor to educate, as well as entertain.
